"Mysterious Jackson area lawyer's blog about history, literature, and whatever irks him."

And therefore, reader, I myself am the subject of my book; it is not reasonable that you should employ your leisure on a topic so frivolous and so vain.

Yep, last time we spoke about such things, I put the SEC down after loosing on the Gators in the Sugar Bowl. Since then the SEC has gone 3 out of three and so has me. But now it’s over, fuck Bama. No seriously, look forward to watching Bama against TAM in week 2. Betcha Bama don’t loose two in a row. Even to Johnny Football.
Bama’s next outing against Texas A&M is likely to be a slaughter. They will be out for blood.
Is McCarron a better QB than I give him credit for? I always think of him as a caretaker who gives the running backs a break now and then.
McCarron had some beautiful throws, but the receivers were so wide open (ND defensive backs looked like they were dragging tractor tires) it’s hard to say how good he is. He does seem to be a pretty good QB.
